10. Log into the system using the following credentials:
Username Password
admin admin
Note: If your organization changed these default credentials, check with your IT
administrator for an updated username and password.
11. (Optional) To configure the IP address and subnet mask, type ace-net-config -a
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -n yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address and
yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy is the netmask.
This configuration sets the IP address and netmask for Eth0, which you can use to access
the Remote Management System (RMS) via a browser to complete the network setup.
6.3 ACE Target cold start procedure for Red Hat 7.X
To complete the ACE Target cold start procedure for Red Hat 7.X, follow these steps:
1. Connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to the ACE Target server.
2. Insert the Telestra Target Software Installation DVD into the drive, and wait for it to boot.
3. When the Telestra Target welcome screen appears, press Enter to begin installing the soft-
ware. Wait 15–20 minutes for installation to complete.
4. Remove the Telestra Target Software Installation DVD from the drive.
Note: The DVD does not automatically eject from the drive after completion.
5. To reboot the server, do one of the following:
l Press Enter.
l Click Reboot.
l Press the Reset button on the front of the chassis.
Important: If the system hangs after reboot, press the Reset button.
6. Log into the system using the following credentials:
