6.0 ACE Target cold start procedure

6.1 ACE Target cold start for Red Hat 5.X

The following sections provide cold start procedure instructions for ACE Target versions 4.13

and higher.

Important: Before installing the software, ensure the Boot Priority settings are in accord-

ance with the proper BIOS configuration instructions. Otherwise, the Telestra Target does

not boot from the DVD but automatically enters the installation routine.

6.1.1 Install Red Hat 5.10 and higher

To install Red Hat 5.10 and higher, follow these steps:

1. Power on the Telestra Target via the power switch.

2. Insert the Telestra ASTi Software Installation DVD, and wait for the system to boot from

the DVD.

3. At the prompt, select RHEL Target [Default].

Important: For ACE Target versions 4.30 and lower, the prompt screen is different.

At the prompt, type target, and press Enter.
