9.0 Configure the Telestra Target network
To complete Telestra Target network set up, you will need the following hardware:
l Monitor
l Keyboard
l ACEStudio development workstation
l Category 5e cable or better
l Telestra Target
To set up the Telestra Target and assign an IP address, follow these steps:
1. Connect the monitor and keyboard to the Telestra Target.
2. Using a Category 5e cable, connect the Telestra Target to the ASTi Net/Distributed Inter-
active Simulation (DIS) network using Eth0.
3. Power on the Telestra Target, and allow it to boot.
4. Elevate to root using the following credentials:
Username Password
su abcd1234
5. (Optional) To configure the IP address and subnet mask, type ace-net-config -a
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -n yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address and
yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy is the netmask.This configuration sets the IP address and netmask for
Eth0, which you can use to access the Remote Management System (RMS) via a browser
to complete the network setup.
6. (Optional) For more network settings, type ace-net-config -h, and press Enter.
Important: Depending on your web browser and browser version, the browser may
show a failed connection due to a self-signed security certificate. Bypass the warning
by following the prompts to add a security exception.
