OPERATION
Select Knob
The SELECT KNOB is used to sequence a source-to-fader assignment
through its possible choices.
Enter Button
The ENTER BUTTON is used to accept a selection during the process of
source-to-fader assignment. Pressing the ENTER BUTTON is not a meaning-
ful action unless the button is flashing.
MXM STATUS Button
The MXM STATUS BUTTON is used to show the current mix-minus
status of the inputs assigned to each fader.
Checking Mix-Minus Status
When you press the MXM STATUS BUTTON, each fader DISPLAY
changes to show the mix-minus status of that fader’s current source. The
displays will flash, as will the MXM STATUS BUTTON. On each fader
DISPLAY character 1 relates to caller feed mix-minus 1, character 2 to caller
feed mix-minus 2, character 3 to general purpose mix-minus 1 (MXM1), and
character 4 to general purpose mix-minus 2 (MXM2).
If the character is “C” (for Constant), the source is constantly present in
the specified mix-minus output, even if it is not selected by a fader, and, if it
is selected by a fader, regardless of the fader’s setting or ON status. If the
character is “P” (for Pre-fader), the source is present in the specified mix-
minus, regardless of the setting of the associated fader, as long as it is selected
by a fader. If the character is “A” (for After fader), the source is present in the
specified mix-minus, at a strength dependent on the fader position, as long as
it is selected by a fader and the fader status is ON. If the character is “N”, the
source is never present in the specified mix-minus, regardless of fader
selection, position, or ON status. NOTE: If the mix-minus status of a source
is “C” or “P” and the source is assigned to a fader, and the fader is on and
assigned to a bus which is the current caller feed bus, then the strength of that
input in the caller feed will depend on the fader setting. Note that the first two
characters of mix-minus status on the phone channel are always “2” and “1”,
indicating that the callers always cross feed.
If a fader has “OFF” as its selected input, the display for that fader will
show NNNN when showing mix-minus status.
To return to normal display, press the MXM STATUS BUTTON. The
button stops flashing. If you neglect to press the button, the console will return
to normal display and the MXM STATUS BUTTON will stop flashing after
a timeout of approximately one minute.
