server is set up to user Kerberos. If the username is in a sub-domain of the Active
Directory domain (specified in step 3a), then the username should be specified as
<username>@<subdomain>.
b. Type the password for an Active Directory account that has browse rights in the
Password field.
c. Click Next.
7. The Establish Connection with Authentication Service window will open briefly. If the
external authentication service is added successfully, the Completed Successful window
will open.
8. Click Finish. The User Authentication Services window will open with the new service listed.
To add a Windows NT external authentication service:
1. From the User Authentication Services window, click Add. The Add Authentication Service
Wizard will appear. Click Next.
2. The Provide Authentication Service Name and Type window will open.
a. Type a name for the external authentication service.
b. Select Windows NT Domain from the drop-down menu.
c. Click Next.
3. The Specify Windows NT Connection Settings window will open.
a. Type the Windows NT domain name you wish to add in the Domain Name field.
b. Click Next.
4. The Select Browsing Method window will open.
Click Browse Anonymously to browse users on the external Windows NT
authentication server.
-or-
Click Browse with user credentials to browse users on the external Windows NT
authentication based on credentials configured on the server. If this option is selected, do
the following:
a. Type the username for a Windows NT account that has browse rights in the User
Name field.
b. Type the password for a Windows NT account that has browse rights in the
Password field.
c. Click Next.
5. The Establish Connection with Authentication Service window will briefly appear. If the
external authentication service is added successfully, the Completed Successful window
will open.
6. Click Finish. The User Authentication Services window will open with the new service listed.
