DSView Software Server - Name of the server associated with the units.
Location - Location assigned to the units. See Grouping units by location on page 127 for
more information.
Migration Status - Whether units from an imported DSView 2.x database or CCM appliances
using AVWorks
®
software require migration to be operational in the DSView management
software. See Importing DSView 2.x software databases on page 236 for more information.
Model Number - Model numbers. See Changing Unit Properties on page 88 for
more information.
Part Number - Part numbers. See Changing Unit Properties on page 88 for more information.
Primary Contact - Name of the person who is responsible for a unit. See Specifying user phone
contact information on page 147 for more information.
Primary Contact Phone - Phone number of the primary contact. See Specifying user phone con-
tact information on page 147 for more information.
Secondary Contact - Name of the person to contact if the primary contact is unavailable. See
Specifying user phone contact information on page 147 for more information.
Secondary Contact Phone - Phone number of the secondary contact. See Specifying user phone
contact information on page 147 for more information.
Serial Number - Serial numbers of units. See Changing Unit Properties on page 88 for
more information.
Telnet Port - Port number used for a Telnet connection to a target device.
Visibility - Whether to display (Show) or not display (Hide) a unit in the Unit Views windows.

Adding Units
You may add:
A single managed appliance
Multiple managed appliances based on a range of IP addresses
A single target device that is not attached to a managed appliance
NOTE: A DSI5100 appliance may be attached to only one DSView software system at a time.
When a managed appliance is added, DSView software administrator, user administrator and
appliance administrator privileges are automatically assigned to the managed appliance. A user
with any of these privileges may:
Reboot a managed appliance
Administer local user accounts on the managed appliance
Control target device power
