12. Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
The keys o n the projector
(except for the POWER key)
don’t function.
PASS W OR D FUNCTION in the FEATU RE menu has been set to MENU ACCESS
to
enable the password lock.
Cancel the pas sword lock or contact the person in charge of management of the projec-
tor.
Check that the pr ojector isn’t c ontrolled by a control panel or other device that is
connected to the REMO TE 1 IN terminal.
Abnormal sound is heard. B ecause the color wheel spins at a high speed, m etallic sounds may be heard in rare
occasions. Such sym ptom is not a malfunction.
FOCUS/ZOOM doesn’t work.
Lens shift doesn’t wo rk.
Check that LENS LO CK in the INSTALLATION 1 m enu isn’t ON.
If the following problem occ urs after the lamp is replaced, check the following rst.

The p rojector do es not turn on. Fit the lamp cov er securely.
The STATUS Led blinks. Reset the lam p operating time of the newly installed lamp.

This projector has a Kensington Security Standard connector for use with Kensington MicroSaver Sec urity System. Refer to the
information that c ame with the Kensington System for instructions on how to use it to secure the projector. Please c ontact Kensington
