Table 7-3. Troubleshooting Chart – No Alarm or Printout, Mechanical Problems
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE AND CORRECTION
1. Excessive vapor exhausting from doors. 1. Damaged door gaskets – Verify and repair or replace
gasket as necessary.
2. Exhaust fan not operating properly – Call STERIS.*
3. If condition reoccurs, call STERIS.*
2. Doors open and/or close too slowly and/
or vibrate.
1. Debris in door bottom gutter– Clean door gutter.
2. Cable, cylinder and pulley malfunction – Call STERIS.*
3. If condition reoccurs, call STERIS.*
3. Doors open and/or close too quickly. 1. Door cylinder flow control misadjusted – Call STERIS*.
2. Air pressure incorrectly adjusted – Call STERIS.*
4. Double door units: Unload door fails to
open.
1. Safety interlock feature engaged – Unload door does not
open until cycle is completed.
2. Unload door mechanism defective – Call STERIS.*
5. Doors do not open completely. 1. Doors obstructed – Remove obstruction.
2. Cables and pulleys malfunction – Call STERIS.*
3. Doors guiding system malfunction – Call STERIS.*
4. If Automatic Floor Tilting option is present: Floor tilt
still in upper position – Call STERIS.*
5. Cylinder flow control improperly adjusted – Call STERIS.*
6. Air pressure improperly adjusted – Call STERIS.*
6. Travelers vibrating. Cable(s) and pulley(s) malfunction – Call STERIS.*
7. Travelers moving too slowly. 1. Cable and pulley malfunction or damage – Call STERIS.*
2. Air flow control improperly adjusted – Call STERIS.*
3. Air pressure improperly adjusted – Call STERIS.*
