1.4 Descriptions
1.4.1 Compressor Unit Purpose
The Oceanus-E1, Oceanus-E3, and Oceanus-G are designed to compress air for breathing as required in
diving applications. The maximum allowable operating pressure (adjusted pressure on the final safety
valve) is 5,000 psi (350 bar).
1.4.2 Design
The compressor unit consists of the following major assemblies which are shown in Figure 1-2, Figure
1-4, Figure 1-5 and Figure 1-6.
