3.4.5 Changing the 2nd Stage Valves
Both the intake and discharge valves can be serviced from the top of the head. See Figure 3-7.
1. Remove two nuts (1) and spring washers (2)
2. Remove valve cover plate (3)
3. Remove valves (7 and 8) using two screwdrivers as shown in Figure 3-9
4. Reassemble in reverse sequence. Position spring washers so the curved side is facing up. Fasten
nuts so the valve cover plate is parallel to the valve head. Torque to 7 ft-lbs (10 Nm)
