9.10.7 Cardan Joint
Every 10 operating hours or daily:
 Check suspension pins (see arrow) are
properly in place and firm, with the
holes for the pins completely assem-
bled.
 Check rubber buffers for damage.

9.10.8 Sledge Sliding Strips
Every 50 operating hours or weekly:
 Check the wear on the strips (1) in the runners (4) of the crowd sledge.
 Where the remaining thickness (X) is found to be less than 15 mm, replace with a
new strip (see below).

To replace:
 Unscrew bolts (2) and remove the tension plate (3).
 Pull out the strip (1) and install a new strip.
 Reinstall the tension plate and screw tight.
