9.11 CRAWLER TRACK ASSEMBLIES
Squashing hazard, shearing hazard and drawing-in hazard!
The machine must be out of motion during work on the undercarriage.
A reliable communication between the person(s) working at the under-
carriage and the operator in the cab must be provided at all times.
9.11.1 Routine Inspection
Every 10 operating hours or daily:
With the uppercarriage positioned crosswise, thoroughly clean crawlers free of mud
and dirt.
Walk-around inspect for wear, damage and loss of oil, especially on following com-
ponents:
Track pads (1)
Track links (2)
Carrier rollers (3)
Front idlers (4)
Track guides (5)
Tread rollers (6)
Crawler drive wheels (7)
Gear cases (8)

On machine with crawlers extended, the crawler telescoping surfaces
should be kept corrosion protected with grease.
