7.5.6 Mounting Retaining Clamps
CAUTION
Rig tipping hazard!
These clamps must be mounted as soon as the mast has been raised.
 Select "Rigging" mode.
 Completely retract both backstay cylinders by
pulling the control levers back.
 Attach retaining clamp halves (1) to one back-
stay cylinder.
 Push O-Ring (2) up on clamp and install in
groove (3).
 Using a hammer, knock locking ring (4) down
on clamp.
 Repeat the procedure on the other backstay
cylinder.
