Cytometer on, but no
response to software
commands
Bad keyboard or mouse
connection
Check keyboard or mouse
connections to computer. Refer to
the documentation that came with
your workstation.
Communication failure
(Ethernet error) between
computer and cytometer
1 Turn off the computer and the
cytometer.
2 Reseat the Ethernet cable,
located on the right side of the
flow cytometer. See Figure 4-6
on page 85.
3 Turn on the cytometer, then the
computer.
4 Using hyperterminal, type
reboot. Verify that VxWorks
launches and no errors are
reported.
Software does not
connect to cytometer
BD FACSDiva software
running at same time as
BD FACSCanto clinical
software
Quit the software you are not
using or put the software in
Standby.
Cytometer power is off Turn power on.
Internal firmware error Cycle power on cytometer.
Cytometer and fluidics
cart will not turn on
Power cords disconnected
from wall socket or cytometer
Reconnect the power cord to the
wall socket or the cytometer.
Cytometer circuit breaker
tripped
Switch on the cytometer circuit
breaker, followed by the
cytometer power (if off).
Blown fuse in cytometer
controller
Turn off the cytometer main
power and call BD Biosciences.
