Follow these precautions when cleaning the NOxBOX

System:
• Thesensorsinsidethesystemcanbedamagedbyexposuretoalcoholorvolatileorganic
compound(VOC)sprayorfumes.Donotusealcohol-orVOC-basedcleanersonthis
system.Alcohol-freeinstrumentcleaningwipesareavailablefromBedfontthatare
suitable for cleaning the NOxBOX

system monitor.
• Cleanexternalsurfacesandthetouchscreenpanelusingadamp,soft,lint-freecloth.
• Donotsprayorsplashcleaninguidsdirectlyontothesystemsurfaces.Applycleaning
uidswithacleansoftlint-freecloth,andavoidexcessivewettingofthesystem.Take
extracarearoundallconnectorstopreventuidfromenteringanddamagingthesystem.
• OnlyusemildsoapandwateroranapproveddisinfectantforcleaningtheNOxBOX

System.Alwaysfollowmanufacturer’srecommendationswhenusinganydisinfectant.
• Donotcleanthesystemwithorganicsolvents,glasscleaner,petroleum-basedsolvents,
alcohol,oracetone-basedsolvents.
• Donotautoclaveorgas-sterilizethesystem.
• DonotuseanyabrasivecleaningpadsorcleansinguidsontheNOxBOX

system,and
take particular care not to scratch the touchscreen panel.
• Topreventdamagetothetouchscreen,avoidexcessivepressurewhencleaningthetouch
screen panel.
• Ensure that the system is completely dry before returning it to use after cleaning.

7.4 Calibration
CAUTION: Temperature may affect the accuracy of the NOxBOX
i
monitoring function. The instrument should be calibrated at the
temperature at which it is expected to be used.
CAUTION: In order to correctly calibrate the NOxBOX

, ensure that
the pump ow is checked and if necessary adjusted prior to
performing sensor calibrations.
CAUTION: Always perform a sensor zero calibration before
performing the full-scale calibration.
