Motor Gearbox and Torque Plate Replacement
Remove Motor Gearbox & Torque Plate Assembly
13) Look down into the Hub and determine which side of the Hub Assembly the Wire Harness is
secured; more than likely that is where the slot in the Drive Shaft is located. Refer to the
images below.
14) To gain access to the Slip Ring to Wire Harness connection remove the appropriate Hub
Skin from the Hub Assembly as shown above.
15) Remove the Tie Straps securing the Slip Ring and Wire Harness Wires to the Drive Shaft.
Disconnect the Slip Ring Plug from the Wire Harness Receptor.
16) Slide the Slip Ring Plug into the slot in the Drive Shaft which will make it easier to pull the
Slip Ring Plug up through the Drive Shaft.
Note: Before removing the Hub Skin, it is optional on whether or not the operator wants to
remove the Cleaning Material from the Hub Skin.
Note:
Wire Harness Receptor
Disconnecting the Slip Ring from the Wire Harness
Remove the electrical tape around
the connection and gently pull the
connectors apart.
Step 15b:
After disconnecting Wire Harness
and Slip Ring connectors slide the
Slip Ring Plug into the Drive Shaft
Slot.
Step 16:
Remove the Tie Strap(s) that
secure the Slip Ring to Wire
Harness connection to the Drive
Shaft. See Note above.
Step 15a:
Note: Try to remove as few Tie Straps as possible, later it will make securing the wires easier
when the Slip Ring and Wire Harness are re-connected.
