Tare priority (only USA)
Menu setting
- In menu "Configuration" / "Priority", select 5 3 6 3: Set priority of article tare and fixed
tare. The standard setting is "Fixed tare".
Manual tare (country-related)
Scales on no load (weight display 0,000 kg).
Press <tare> key.
Enter a known tare value, e.g. 0.500 kg.
Confirm entry.
Taring via fixed tare key T1 -Tx
Menu setting
- In configuration, select 5312: Define fixed tare key <T1> - <Tx>.
- In data maintenance/ tare fixed values, select 28: enter known tare value.
Press fixed tare key <T1> (direct taring).
6.15.3 PLU tare
A tare value and/or tare % or tare no. can be entered for the PLU tare in the PLU mainte-
nance. When calling up a PLU, the PLU tare is automatically activated and displayed [}43].
Scales using tare values and scales using tare numbers can operate together in one system.
In price labeling mode tare values are used and during sales, tare numbers are applied.
Switching from a tare value to a tare number in the configuration should be managed via a
function menu.
If a tare no. was assigned to a PLU not defined in data maintenance,
the following error message appears:"Taring not ok".
Clear Tare

Scale is not loaded.
Activate <Tare> key and the tare is erased immediately.
