– If an external power supply is used then this should be an Altronix model AL600ULX with
integrated uninterruptable power supply (UPS).
Notice!

3.4 System Overview
The Access Controller AMC2-4R4 is connected between the management host system and
different peripheral devices. By default, a management host system is connected using
Ethernet. A management host connection using RS-485 or RS-232 is also possible.
Corresponding to the available interfaces, one AMC2 can be connected to each COM port
using RS-232 mode. In RS-485 mode, up to eight access controllers can be combined on one
party line.
The AMC2-4R4 is deployed as an independent controller between the management host
system and various peripheral devices. By default, a management host system is connected via
Ethernet. A management host connection using RS-485 or RS-232 is also possible.
The AMC2-4WE is connected between the access controller AMC2-4W and the various
peripheral devices.
The extension module AMC2-16IOE is connected to the Access controller AMC2. By default it
is connected via RS-485.
