5.2.4 Installing the outer rails in a round-hole rack
To install the outer rails in a round-hole rack:
1. Remove the screws, which secure the mounting brackets to the outer rail and remove the
mounting brackets at both ends of the outer rail.
2. Determine the position in the rack where you want to install the chassis.
3. Place the outer rail at the desired position inside the rack posts with the long section of
the outer rail toward the front rack post and the short section toward the rear rack post.
4. Align the holes on both ends of the outer rail with the holes in the rack posts.
5. Use cage nuts and proper screws to secure the outer rail to the rack posts.
6. Repeat these steps for the other outer rail.
