3.5.6 Measurement lead with voltage divider
The measurement lead with voltage divider
(1 687 224 301) is used for voltage measurements up
to 60VDC/30VAC/300VACpeak. The accessory set
(1687 016 118) contains test prods (1684485434/
... 435) and pick-off clips (1684480403/ ... 404) as
accessories for the measurement lead with voltage
divider. Never use the measurement lead with voltage
divider to measure mains or similar voltages.
3.6 Bluetooth
3.6.1 Bluetooth USB adapter
Only the Bluetooth USB adapter included in the scope
of delivery provides a radio link with the FSA 500. It is
plugged in at the PC/Laptop. Readiness for operation is
indicated by the flashing blue LED.
! It is not possible to operate any other item of Blue-
tooth hardware fitted or plugged into the PC/Laptop,
as this would interfere with data communication
between the FSA 500 and the PC/Laptop.
! Do not subject the Bluetooth USB adapter connected
to the Laptop to mechanical strain or use it as a
handle, as this could damage the Laptop or Blue-
tooth USB adapter.
3.6.2 Key to Bluetooth symbols
Bluetooth Manager symbol (in task bar):

Green Bluetooth USB adapter active and communi-
cating with FSA 500.
White Bluetooth USB adapter plugged into PC/Laptop
but Bluetooth link not active.

Follow the instructions in chapter 2.6.
i With the FSA 500, the USB connection can be acti-
vated and used if the Bluetooth link is interrupted.
3.7 Notes concerning faults
i Please see the notes in section 2.6 and 3.6.2.
FSA 500 has found via Bluetooth.
Possible causes What can you do
No external voltage

Check if FSA 500 is supplied with exter-
nal power.
LED B on FSA 500 must light up violet or
green (see section 3.5.4).

1. Select the "Settings" test step.
2. Check in "Settings" if FSA 500 is con-
nected correctly.
