Cleaning, maintenance and inspection
7.2 After each ride
Complying with these cleaning instructions is the
only way to reduce wear on components, increase
the operating hours and guarantee safety.
The following items should be ready for use to
clean the pedelec after each ride:
7.2.1 Cleaning the riding light and
reflectors
1 Clean headlight, rear light and reflectors with a
damp cloth.
7.2.2 Cleaning the suspension fork
1 Remove dirt and deposits from the stanchions
and deflector seals with a damp cloth. Check
stanchions for dents, scratches, staining or
leaking oil.
2 Lubricate the dust seals and stanchions with a
few drops of silicone spray.
3 Maintain the suspension fork after cleaning.
7.2.3 Maintaining the suspension fork
Treat dust seals with fork oil.
7.2.4 Cleaning the pedals
Clean pedals with a brush and soapy water.
7.2.5 Cleaning the brake
Clean dirt on the rim and brake components
with a slightly dampened cloth.
7.2.6 Cleaning the suspension seat post
Clean dirt on the articulated joints with a
slightly dampened cloth immediately after a
ride.
7.2.7 Cleaning the rear frame damper
Clean dirt on the articulated joints with a
slightly dampened cloth immediately after a
ride.
