7.1 LED status indicator

7.2 Troubleshooting
Symptom Possible cause Solution
The green power indicator lamp
(LED) on SMT 300 does not
turn on.
The battery connection cables are re-
versed.
Correctly position the battery connection cables.
Voltage supply is connected poorly. Tighten the connection to the positive terminal and the
ground port on the vehicle.
Voltage supply from the battery is too
weak.
Ensure that vehicle battery is in good condition and ful-
ly charged.
No air or smoke is discharged
from the smoke supply hose.
Voltage supply cable is connected poorly. Tighten the connection to the positive terminal and the
ground port on the vehicle.
Voltage supply from the battery is too
weak.
Ensure that vehicle battery is in good condition and ful-
ly charged.
Air supply to the SMT 300 is insufficient. Ensure a sufficient supply of air/nitrogen.
Very little smoke is discharged
from the smoke supply hose or
oil is dripping out.
There is too much smoke condensate in
the smoke supply hose.
Position the smoke supply hose under the SMT 300.
1. Set the smoke flow control to "TEST"
2. Switch on the unit for one cycle until the oil has
drained out of the smoke supply hose.
i The smoke vapor from the SMT 300 is very dense. In this case, occasional condensation in the smoke supply
hose is normal and generally not a problem.
