Connection of the PC or terminal requires Cable AO-1451, provided with your system.
PC Setup and Connections
Note: A predefined hyperterminal connection can be found under Start, Programs,
PULSE, Utilities, IDAe Hyperterminal. If you choose to use this, go directly to step 12)
on page 44.
As an example, the following procedure sets up a Hyperterminal under Windows
®
2000 (the
procedure is similar for Windows
®
XP), allowing you to use your PC as a VT100 terminal.
You can, however, use any suitable terminal program.
1) Make sure that the PULSE front-end is switched off.
2) Select Start, Programs, Accessories, Communications, Hyperterminal to start Hyperteminal.
3) When the Hyperterminal asks for a Connection Description (New Connection), give the
new connection a Name and choose an Icon. Click OK.

4) Set Connect using to the COM port where you want to connect the cable. Click OK.
