PULSE Multi-analyzer System Type 3560-B/C/D/E – Installation and IDAe Hardware74
6.5 5/1-ch. Input/Output Controller Modules with Generator
Types 7539, 7539-A, 3560-B-030, 3560-B-040
This module comes in two versions: Type 7539
with LEMO connectors on the input channels and
Type 7539-A with BNC connectors. Type 3560-B-
030 is equivalent to Type 7539, while Type 3560-
B-040 is equivalent to Type 7539-A. For input of
signals in seven ranges from 7.071 mV to
7.071 V
peak
in 10 dB steps plus 12 V
peak
over the
frequency range to 25.6 kHz.
6.5.1 Common Features
Output 1
BNC connector (see Fig.7.5 on page 90) for output
of a high-quality generator signal over the frequency
range to 25.6 kHz. The maximum output voltage is
5V
rms
delivered in one output range through a 24-
bit D/A converter. Output may be grounded or
floating, controlled by PULSE software.
Waveforms are determined by PULSE software and
include:
• Sine – fixed or swept (burst or continuous)
• Dual sine – fixed, swept or combination
• Random (burst or continuous)
• Pseudo-random
• Periodic Random
• User-defined waveform (import from WAV file)
Tacho
BNT connector (see Fig.7.3 on page 89) capable of providing power for tacho probes. This
is connected in parallel with Input 1.
Multi Frame Control and Synchronisation
This is used for switching the front-end on and off remotely so that pressing any power
button on any front-end will power up all front-ends.
This connector is also used for multiframe control via AES/EBU. Connect all the frames
together with 50 Ω termination
a
at both ends using standard 50 Ω cables of maximum length
100 m.
a. A 50 Ω termination is built into these modules and is activated when First or Last Frame is set to Yes.
