Although a CryoProbe has its own set of cold preamplifiers built-in, some HPPR
functions such as RF filters in the transmission path, probe tuning, and selection
of the received signal must be handled externally by a modified HPPR CRP as-
sembly (Figure 3.5.
). Besides being suitable for the operation with CryoProbes,
this HPPR CRP can be used with all conventional probes. For technical informa-
