BDC546
6.4.2 Filter concept for highside and lowside
The three HV chokes are principally designed as common-mode chokes (L
h
). However, they also help to filter
the push-pull interferences by means of the existing leakage inductance (L
S
).
The wired Y capacitors (C
y5
to C
y10
) and the common-mode choke (L
h
) form the common-mode filter.
The X capacitors (C
b1
, C
b2
, C
b3
) and the leakage inductance of the HV chokes (L
S
) form the push-pull filter.
Due to the high clock frequencies, the capacitors may have very small dimensions. Thus, a rapid discharge of
the intermediate circuit is possible.
