5. LEGAL FOR TRADE
When the indicator is used in trade or a legally controlled application, it must be set up, verified and sealed in
accordance with local weights and measures regulations. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that
all pertinent legal requirements are met.
5.1 Settings
Before verification and sealing, perform the following steps:
1. Verify that the menu settings meet the local weights and measures regulations.
2. Perform a calibration as explained in Calibration Menu section.
3. Turn the indicator off.
To turn the security switch on:
1. Disconnect power from the indicator and open the housing as demonstrated in Opening the Housing
section. Note:
Remove the lead-acid battery if it is included in your T104P model. Please refer to Opening the
Housing section T104P (with Lead-acid Battery) sub-section for instruction.
Remove the first layer built-in housing including the lead-acid battery for T104S. Please refer to
Opening the Housing section T104S for instruction.
2. Turn the position of the security switch (S1) to ON. Refer to the following two graphics for the location of
S1.
3. Close the housing. Re-install the lead-acid battery mentioned in step 1.
4. Reconnect the power and turn the indicator on.
5.2 Verification
The local weights and measures official or authorized service agent must perform the verification procedure.
