8 Editing a method
This chapter describes how to edit a method.
NOTE
Depending on the extraction method you edit, the display shows the available param-
eters for this extraction method.
8.1 Creating a new method
Navigation path
➔
u Navigate to the [Method] menu via the navigation path.
u Select the submenu [Define method] with the navigation control.
ð The display highlights the selection in green.
u Tap the function [OK] on the function bar.
ð The new method is created.
ð The display shows the view Method.
u Tap the function [Save] on the function bar.
ð The method is saved.
8.2 Changing the name of a method
Navigation path
➔
u Navigate to the [Method] menu via the navigation path.
u Tap the name of the method that you wish to edit.
ð The display shows the view Method.
u Tap the function [Edit] on the function bar.
u Select the action [Method name] with the navigation control.
ð The display shows a dialog with an alphanumeric input box.
u Enter a name for the method.
u Tap the function [Save] on the function bar.
ð The new name is saved.
ð The dialog box closes.
8.3 Setting the solvent of a method
The following solvents are selectable:
Chloroform
Diethyl ether
Hexane
Petroleum ether
Own created
The control sets the heating level for the selected solvent automatically.
