12 Help with faults
12.1 Troubleshooting
Problem Possible cause Action
Flange lock is not
inserted completely
The condenser is not in the
right position.
u Move the condenser flange
a little bit until the lock falls
into the holes.
Instrument does
not work
Instrument is not connected to
the power supply.
u Make sure that the power
supply is connected and
switched on.
Method cannot be
started
Solvent tank is full u Empty the solvent tank.
Protection shield is open u Close the protection shield.
Method stops Cooling water flow is too low u Check the cooling water
connection and all hoses
for bends and remove
them, if necessary.
Cooling water sensor is defec-
tive (may be the coolant is
contaminated with algae, lime,
etc.)
u Contact BUCHI Costumer
Service.
Protection shield lifted u Close the protection shield.
Tank bottle full u Empty the tank bottle. See
Chapter11.2 "Removing
the tank bottle", page74
