The icon provides a pictorial representation of
the hazard surrounded by a triangular safety
symbol.
(2) Hazard alert icon
The icon provides a pictorial notification of the
hazard to be avoided.
Explanations regarding the warning notices
The following list contains:
in the right-hand column, all warning notices appearing on the machine,
in the left-hand column, the following information concerning the warning notice at the right:
1. The order number.
2. The description of the hazard - for example, “Finger or hand crushing hazard posed by accessible
moving machine parts!”
3. The consequence of failure to take note of the information on how to avoid the hazard - for exam-
ple, “This hazard can result in severe injury involving the loss of body parts.”
4. The information on how to avoid the hazard - for example, “Never touch the hazardous area where
parts can be in motion.”
