Hazards to personnel due to pinching, shearing, cutting, severing, grasping,
winding, pulling, catching and impact can occur in the following cases:
Raised, unsecured machine parts descend or are lowered unintentionally - for exam-
ple, an open dosing valve,
Work tools or machine parts are powered up or hydraulic functions are accidentally
carried out.
Secure raised machine parts against unintended lowering prior to working in the vi-
cinity of the raised parts.
Secure the machine against accidental startup (secure the main switch with a pad-
lock) prior to performing work on the machine.
Wait until the machine has stopped prior to entering the machine’s hazard area.
1. Conclude the mixing process (see Chapter Be-
ginning and concluding the mixing process,
page 72).
2. Open the dosing valve (3) using the indicated
button on the “basic” or “plus” control panel (see
Chapters 4.15.1.5 and 4.15.2.5, pages 50 and
54). The automatic opening stops the opening at
the width set by Sensor 1 (Fig. 6-3).
3. Secure the machine against inadvertent starting
and rolling prior to leaving the machine.
4. Close the block ball valve 1 on dosing valve 3 of
the obstructed delivery opening
o o Vertical position = open
o o Horizontal position = closed
5. Remove the blockage to free up the delivery
opening and allow the mixing auger to resume
full rotation.
6. Open block ball valve 1.
7. Restart the machine (see Chapter Switching on
the machine page 71).
8. Resume the feed delivery process.
