7.4.4 BvL 108960 reduction gear (optional equipment)
An oil change requires approximately 9 liters of
SAE 80/85 oil (API GL5, VG 150). Perform oil changes
only at the oil’s operating temperature. The operating
temperature is approximately 30°C-40°C.
1. Switch the motor off and ensure that it cannot be
unintentionally switched on again.
2. Place a collecting container under the gearbox (ap-
prox. capacity 15 liters).
3. Unscrew and remove the lower oil drain screw (2)
on the gearbox.
4. Wait until no further oil emerges from the oil drain
plug.
5. Screw in and tighten the oil drain screw (2) (use ap-
propriate sealant).
6. Unscrew and remove the fill level control screw (1)
on the gearbox.
7. Continue using the oil pump to add transmission oil
until the oil begins to overflow through the fill level
control screw (1) (approximately 9 liters).
8. Screw in and tighten the fill level control screw (1)
(use appropriate sealant)
