The NTP Service and NTP Server settings cannot be set from the Node Configuration screen;
however, they can be modified from the shell using the gxc-config-network utility.
Of the Security Configuration settings, the Security Notice can be modified by clicking either
the Enabled or Disabled radio button located at the right of the setting. If Enabled is specified,
a custom message will appear in the Security Notice field when a user logs into the system
from the TL1 shell.
The Password Aging field specifies the number of days a password will remain valid. Acceptable
values for the setting are:
0 (zero) – the password never expires.
20 to 90 – the password will expire after the specified number of days.
Similarly, the Usage Inactivity field specifies whether or not to disable a user, based on the
individual’s site usage. Values for the setting include:
0 (zero) – the user is never disabled.
45 to 90 – the user will be disabled after being inactive for the specified number of days.
The Dynamic Update Configuration setting specifies how frequently the scrolling Events banner
at the bottom of the screen is refreshed. Although a planned future enhancement, this setting is
currently inactive on the system.
