6. Make any changes to the Threshold and/or Alias settings shown in the Port Monitor
Configuration section of the screen by deleting the displayed settings and typing in
new ones.
7. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save the new settings. Or, click
the Restore factory defaults button to disregard the new settings and repopulate the
data fields with the factory-default settings. Clicking the Reset button will reset newly
changed settings to the last saved settings.
6.2 Cross Connects > Summary
The Cross Connections Summary screen provides detailed information—including Connection
Name and ID, Direction, Band (Lightband), INput and OUTput Power, Insertion Loss, Alarm
State, Administrative Status (AS), Operational Status (OS) and Operational Capability (OC)—on
all currently configured connections.
Possible values for the Alarm State, Administrative Status, Operational Status and Operational
Capability are:
Alarm State (AL)
o CL (Clear) – if insertion loss is within specification
o MN (Minor) – if insertion loss is greater than 5.00 dB
o MJ (Major) – if insertion loss is greater than 7.00 dB
o CR (Critical) – if insertion loss is greater than 10.00 dB
Administrative Status (AS)
o IS (In Service) – if setting is activated
o UMA (Under Maintenance) – if setting is not activated
Operational Status (OS)
o OOS (Out of Service) – if setting is activated and an alarm is present
o RDY (Ready) – system is operationally ready
Operational Capability (OC)
o OK – if connection is successful
o INIT – if connection is in-progress
o FAIL – if the input power is -90.00 dBm (no power) or the connection setup fails
