Facility Requirements
Verify the following conditions prior to beginning the installation process:
All materials are onsite and inventoried.
An equipment rack (if required) and grounding are in place.
Minimum clearances are met for each device.
Adequate power and access to a -48 VDC source at a maximum of 2.5 amps per shelf is
available.
The installation site location has restricted access.
Cables are adequate for the services provided.
Thermal budget is planned for and approved (central office installation only).
Assignments for power, services, transport, alarms, timing, and other interfaces have
been defined.
Note: For circuit breaker panel installation instructions, refer to the appropriate vendor
documentation.
