The CaptionCall answering machine offers settings to customize your experience:
Rings before answering—This sets the number of rings before the answering
machine picks up the call. Make sure to give yourself enough time to reach the
phone before the answering machine begins taking a message. If you use a provider
voicemail service, you may want to contact your phone company to change the
settings so your voicemail ring count is set higher than the CaptionCall answering
machine ring count.
Call Screening—Turn this on to listen to the message as it is being left, so you can
decide if you want to answer the call. If this is off, you will not hear the message as it
is being left.
Greetings—The CaptionCall answering machine comes with a default greeting.
