Why is product not being fed into the freezing cylinder of my Carrier C708 Freezer?
    • J
      jennifer32Aug 29, 2025
If product isn't being fed into the freezing cylinder of your Carrier Freezer, it could be due to: * Inadequate mix in the hopper (mix out light is lit). Fill hopper with mix. * Air/mix pump incorrectly assembled (C708/C716). Assemble pump according to instructions in the Operator’s Manual. * Incorrect usage of the mix feed tube (C709/C717). Follow the correct feed tube procedures and use of the air orifice.

What causes high head pressure in a Carrier C708 Freezer?
    • J
      Jonathan WilsonAug 27, 2025
High head pressure in your Carrier Freezer can be caused by: * A dirty condenser. Clean the condenser. * A water valve that is out of adjustment or restricted. Check the adjustment and the water supply. * Insufficient air space around the unit. Ensure sufficient air space surrounds the unit (see “Specifications”). * Refrigerant overcharge. Correct the refrigerant charge. * A faulty blower. Replace the blower.

How to fix a Carrier C708 Freezer with no operation in any mode?
    • A
      Andrew DuffyAug 27, 2025
If your Carrier Freezer isn't operating in any mode, check these potential causes: * The unit might be unplugged. Ensure it is plugged in. * The circuit breaker could be turned off, or the fuse might be blown. Turn on the circuit breaker or replace the fuse. * The power switch may be in the “OFF” position. Place the power switch in the “ON” position.

Why is the product from my Carrier C708 Freezer too soft?
    • J
      John WalkerAug 26, 2025
If the product from your Carrier Freezer is too soft, consider the following possibilities: * Insufficient air space around the unit. Allow 6” (152 mm) minimum clearance around both sides of the unit and place the back against a wall. * Worn scraper blades. Replace the scraper blades. * Dirty air-cooled condenser. Clean monthly. * Outdated mix. Use fresh mix. * Refrigerant shortage. Locate leak and repair. * Product viscosity set too warm. Adjust product viscosity. * Incorrect usage of the mix feed tube (C709/C717). Follow the correct feed tube procedures and use of the air orifice. * Incorrect DBV setting. See “Checking and Setting Refrigeration Valves.”
