Ifleaksaredetectedinthehydraulichoses,tubes,orttingsduringtheinspection,carryoutthe
followingbeforeyouperformanymaintenanceactivities:
1.Stoptheengine.
2.Releasethehydraulicsystempressure.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorseriousinjury.

Checkthehydraulicsystemlinesforpossibleleaks.
Repairallhydraulicoilleakspromptlytoavoidlossof
oilandpossibledamageanddirtentryintothesystem.
Whencheckingforhydraulicleaks,startandoperate
theengineat1200-1500RPM.
Removeandinstallnewhosesimmediately,iftheyare
severelydamagedbyacutorscrape,swollenatthe
ttings,orleaking.
Ifyoureplaceahydraulichoseortube,usethefollowing
procedure:
1.Loosenthettings(1)andremovethehoseortube,
thenremoveanddiscardtheO-ringseal(2).
ImmersethenewO-ringintocleanhydraulicoilbefore
assembly.
2.InstallthenewO-ring(2)intothetting(1)andifnec-
essary,retaininpositionusingPETROLEUMJELLY.As-
semblethenewhoseortubeandtightenthettingn-
ger-tight,whileholdingthetubeorhosetopreventit
fromturning.Thetube’sorhose’sturningcoulddam-
agetheO-ring.
3.Usingtwosuitablewrenches,tightenthettingsto
specication.
NOTICE:Whenreplacingorassemblingapipeorhose,
makesurethatallelementsareperfectlycleanandfree
fromanytraceofdirt.Failuretoensureabsolutecleanli-
nesswillresultinthehose/pipeleakingafterinstallationor
possibledamagetootherhydraulicsystemcomponents.

Toensurealeakfreejointisobtained,itisimportant
thatthettingsarenotovertorquedorundertorqued.
Whenreplacingahose,itisnecessarytobleedairfrom
thesystem.Forthispurpose,lettheenginerunat1200
-1500RPM,contemporarilyactuatingtheloaderand
backhoeattachmentcontrolsfor15minoruntilairis
bledfromthesystem.
