Transfer Pump Bowl
Clean area around the bowl. Loosen ball lock nut and remove bowl from
bail. Removewater and anysedimentfrom bowl. Wipe bowl clean and reinstall
in bail. Tighten lock nut.
First Stage Fuel Filter
Loosen drain plug on filter bottom. Do not removethe plug. Allow fuel to
drain until clear of water. Tighten drain plug.
NOTE:
After draining the transfer pump bowl and the first stagefuel filter
it may be necessary to bleed the fuel system. If the engine appears to lack
power or stalls, refer to Bleeding the System, page95.
Fuel Tank Water Trap
Loosen, but do not remove, the drain plug in the fuel tank water trap. Let
fuel drain until clear of water. Tighten plug.
