Renaming or securing your mobile hotspot
You can change the name of your phone’s Wi-Fi network name (SSID)
and secure its Wi-Fi network.
1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key > Settings > Mobile
Hotspot.
2. Tap Network settings.
3. Tap Configure Mobile Hotspot.
You can change the network SSID (name) that other PC see when
scanning for Wi-Fi networks.
You can also change the security type and password to use for
connecting with other PC’s.
4. Tap Save.
NOTE
Default Mobile Hotspot settings are as follows:
SSID: VerizonC811-****
Where **** represents last 4 digits of your phone’s Wi-Fi MAC
address.
Security: WPA2 PSK
Password: ************ (random 12 digit number)
Viewing your mobile hotspot password
1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key > Settings > Mobile
Hotspot.
2. Tap Network settings.
3. Tap View password.
