1.TurnthekeyswitchOFFandremovethekey.PlacetheForward/ReversehandleintheNEUTRALposition.
Chockthewheels.
2.Disconnectbatteryandsparkplugwire(s).SeeDisconnectingtheBattery-GasolineVehiclesonpage1-3.
3.Disconnectthe3-wireconnectorfromtheneutrallockoutlimitswitch(1)locatedonthetransaxle.
4.Removetwonuts(3)andwashers(4)fromtheneutrallockoutlimitswitch(1)andslidethelimitswitchoffof
thescrews.
NEUTRALLOCKOUTLIMITSWITCHINSTALLATION
1.Installthelimitswitch(1)withwashers(4)andnuts(3)andtightento5lb·in(0.6N·m).MovetheForward/Reverse
handletomakesuretheswitchactuates.SeefollowingCAUTION.
CAUTION
•Donotovertightentheretainingnuts.Ifthenutsareovertightened,limitswitchescouldbedamaged.
2.Connectthe3-wireconnectortotheneutrallockoutlimitswitchlead.
3.Connectbatteryandsparkplugwire(s).
