2-24 Removal and Replacement Procedures
Ultra2 Hot-Plug Hard Drives
Compaq ProLiant 3000 Servers may ship with Ultra2 hot-plug hard drives. Ultra2 hot-plug hard
drives are removed for replacement or for upgrade to a larger drive.
CAUTION: Do not remove a hot-plug drive if any of the online LEDs are green.
To remove an Ultra2 hot-plug hard drive:
1. Open the front bezel door (tower model only).
2. Press the release tab

and open the locking lever

that holds the drive in place.
3. Pull the drive from the cage.

Reverse steps 1 through 3 to replace an Ultra2 hot-plug hard drive.
