Purpose To download and install a firmware, boot, or switch configuration
file from a TFTP server.
Syntax download {firmware_fromTFTP {<ipaddr>| <ipv6addr>}
<path_filename (64)> | cfg_fromTFTP {<ipaddr>| <ipv6addr>}
<path_filename (64)> config_id <integer (1-2)>}
Description The download command downloads a firmware, boot, or switch
configuration file from a TFTP server.
Parameters firmware_fromTFTP − Download and install new firmware on the
Switch from a TFTP server.
cfg_fromTFTP −
Download a switch configuration file from a
TFTP server.
<ipaddr> − The IPv4 address of the TFTP server.
<ipv6addr> − The IPv6 address of the TFTP server.
<path_filename 64> −
The filename of the firmware or switch
configuration file on the TFTP server. You need to specify the
DOS path if the file is not at the root directory of the TFTP server.
config_id <integer 1-2> -
Specifies the configuration id to be
configured.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To download a firmware file:
DGS-1210-10P> download firmware_fromTFTP 192.168.11.141 test1.hex
Connecting to server................... Done.
Download firmware...................... Done. Do not power off!
Please wait, programming flash......... Done.
