2.8. Fan Belt

V-belt
- Use a fan belt of specified dimen-
sions, and replace if damaged,
frayed, or deteriorated.
- Check the fan belt for belt tension.
If belt tension is lower than the
specified limit, adjust the tension by
relocating the alternator. (specified
deflection: 10 ~ 15 mm when
pressed down with thumb)

Poly belt
Poly belt will be properly tensioned if
the deflection force “F” is applied
mid-way between the belt’s tangent
points with the pulley.
T = 0.015 x S (about 1.5mm per
100mm)
T = 0.015 x *S (mm)

2.9. Air Cleaner
•
In case that elements are deformed,
damaged or if the air cleaner has a
crack, replace it.
•
By the definite interval, the elements
must be cleaned and replaced.
