16 Maintaining the unit
Changing the lter mat and possibly occasional cleaning of the
housing are the only maintenance work that you have to carry out
at your system.
16.1 Changing the lter mat
A lter mat is positioned behind the front panel in front of the intake
fan. This lter mat prevents dirt particles in the ambient air from
entering the unit.
A strongly soiled lter mat can impair the cooling air supply. This
can lead to a system failure due to overheating.
IMPORTANT
Change the lter mat regularly, at the latest when
it is gray.
The frequency of lter changes is dependent upon
the installation site and the degree of soiling as-
sociated with it. In normal ofce rooms, checking
every three months is generally sufcient, while a
monthly check would be recommended for rooms
with large amounts of dust (storage etc.).
Filter-change procedure
l The unit should be switched off (replacement is possible while
in operation, however).
l Open the front panel on the left side of the recorder.
l Remove the soiled lter mat.
l Remove lint/dust from the mesh with a dry cloth if necessary.
l Insert a new lter mat
l Close the panel.
