To run AMA
1. Press [Main Menu] to access parameters.
2.
Scroll to parameter group 1-** Load and Motor and
press [OK].
3.
Scroll to parameter group 1-2* Motor Data and
press [OK].
4.
Scroll to 1-29 Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA) and
press [OK].
5.
Select [1] Enable complete AMA and press [OK].
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
7. The test will run automatically and indicate when it
is complete.
5.5 Checking Motor Rotation
WARNING
MOTOR START!
Ensure that the motor, system, and any attached
equipment are ready for start. It is the responsibility of the
user to ensure safe operation under any condition. Failure
to ensure that the motor, system, and any attached
equipment are ready for start could result in personal
injury or equipment damage.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage to pumps/compressors caused by motor
running in wrong direction. Before running the adjustable
frequency drive, check the motor rotation.
The motor will run briefly at 5 Hz or the minimum frequency
set in 4-12 Motor Speed Low Limit [Hz].
1. Press [Main Menu].
2.
Scroll to 1-28 Motor Rotation Check and press [OK].
3.
Scroll to [1] Enable.
The following text will appear: Note! Motor may run in wrong
direction.
4. Press [OK].
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
NOTICE!
To change the direction of rotation, remove power to the
adjustable frequency drive and wait for power to
discharge. Reverse the connection of any two of the three
motor wires on the motor or adjustable frequency drive
side of the connection.
5.6 Local Control Test

1. Press [Hand On] to provide a local start command
to the adjustable frequency drive.
2. Accelerate the adjustable frequency drive by
pressing [
▲
] to full speed. Moving the cursor left of
the decimal point provides quicker input changes.
3. Note any acceleration problems.
4. Press [Off]. Note any deceleration problems.
In the event of acceleration or deceleration problems, see
7.4 Troubleshooting. See 7.3 List of Warnings and Alarms for
resetting the adjustable frequency drive after a trip.
