5.5 External Battery Cabinet Connection Warnings
NOTE:
The information of the battery parameters in this chapter may not be applicable to
the lithium-ion batteries. For relevant information, please refer to the manual of the
lithium-ion batteries. Whether you use the lead-acid batteries or the lithium-ion
batteries, please contact Delta service personnel for any battery/ battery cabinet’s
setup and configurations.
You should connect the UPS with at least one external battery cabinet to ensure that the
connected critical loads are protected when a power failure occurs. You can connect up to
four units of external battery cabinets to the UPS.
• To ensure that the batteries are fully charged, please charge for at least 8 hours before
the initial use of the UPS. This guarantees that the UPS can provide sufficient backup
power to the critical loads when a power failure occurs. The charging procedures are as
follows.
(1) Connect the main AC source and the external battery cabinet(s) to the UPS. Please
refer to
5.4 Wiring
.
(2) Follow
6. UPS Operation
to turn on the UPS and the external battery cabinet(s).
After that, the unit will automatically charge the batteries.
• To connect the external battery cabinet(s) to the UPS, please refer to
