3. INSTALLATION OF THE DOOR AND OF
COMPONENTS
3.1 Checking the opening of passage (Fig. 1)
Check the overall dimensions of the doorway and
that the overall dimensions are consistent with the door
size. (In the case of installation within the doorway, the
required tolerances must be taken into consideration)
Check that no obstacle present might prevent the
correct installation of the structure.
Be sure that the laying surfaces are levelled and
when necessary, level them with adequate shims.
Check that the doorway structure is consistent: a
safe anchoring shall be ensured through iron bars,
brackets or screw anchors. If the consistency is little or
unclear, an adequate self-bearing metal structure
must be foreseen.
