DOM Roq® Fig. 38: Long Plate Inside Without Visible Screw Connection
9. Check that the cylinder protrudes a minimum of 4.5 mm to a maximum of 9 mm
from the trim!
10. Place the base plate on the cylinder. (E)
11. Fasten the base plate to the cylinder with an M4x12 mm screw (upper hole) hand-
tight only. (F)
12. Measure the difference (h) between the lowest point of the trim and the base plate.
Note the value.
13. Measure the distance (b) between the door leaf and the base plate. Make sure that
the base plate is parallel to the door leaf. Note the value.
Attention! Damage of the door leaf
Pre-drilling and fixing with the sheet metal/wood screws ST 3.9 x length, or glu-
ing on the foam part can / will damage the door leaf. This always remains visible
after reverting to a normal cylinder!
Therefore, if you are not the owner of the door, you should obtain permission to
drill into it and / or to stick on it.
Otherwise, these fastening options are not available to you!
14. Mark the additional fixing points on the door leaf so that they can be pre-drilled later.
(G)
15. Remove the M4 screw and take off the base plate again
Note!
If you do not get the approval for drilling into the door leaf (additional fixing
points), points 14, 18 and 19 do not apply to you.
In this case, you can use
the adhesive surface of the foam part towards the door. However, damage can
also occur here. In this case, a new painting of the door may be sufficient.
