The classification of laser classes according to DIN EN 60825-1
The evaluation of the laser classes is carried out using the classification rules for lasers ac-
cording to DIN EN 60825-1:2008-05 "Safety of laser equipment". After taking into account
the hazard potential of the individual lasers or their optical power or energy, they are rated
differently. The rule is: The higher the class number, the higher the hazard potential of the
laser.
The installed laser has the laser class 1.
Laser class 1
Classification:
Laser class 1 is in a wavelength range between 400 and 700 nm and has a power of less
than 25 microwatts. They emit visible light.
The accessible laser radiation is not dangerous under reasonably foreseeable conditions, no
protective measures are required.
Attention! Possible eye injury
Even though this is a class 1 laser, care should be taken to ensure that children
do not look into this area unnecessarily.
